Getting wet at Poring Hot Spring & Nature Reserve at Ranau, Kota Kinabalu during Sabah Trip

After we check in at  Kinabalu Pine Resort , we went to visit Poring Hot Spring & Nature Reserve.  This is actually our first location for our Sabah trip.  There are so many benefits of hot spring.  From what we normally heard, hot spring can help to eliminate toxin from the body, can heal many diseases and help our body to relax.  A quick Google bring me to this website which shows many benefits of hot springs: Enjoying hot spring at Poring Hot Spring, Sabah Poring is actually a small town near Ranau and Mount Kinabalu.  It has open-air and private cabin bath with hot spring that contains sulphur which is good for skin.  A lot of people came here to relax after climbed the Mount Kinabalu.  We came here just to try the hot springs and actually wanted to walk the suspension bridge / canopy walk.  However, we reached late and the entrance is closed at 4 pm.  From what I read, you may also get the chance to see  Rafflesia , which ...

The stay at Kinabalu Pine Resort at Kundasang during Sabah Trip

The Kinabalu Pine Resort is our first night's accommodation during our trip in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.  After eating delicious fish noodle at  Fatt Kee Fish Mixed at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah , we took around 2 hours to reach the resort.  Why it took so long to reach this resort?  It is because Kinabalu Pine Resort is situated near the Mount Kinabalu. Cabin at Kinabalu Pine Resort Kinabalu Pine Resort is a multi-award winning & privately run accommodation that caters to budget-conscious travelers.  All of their cabins have wide open porches that are facing the Mount Kinabalu.  But the most important for me, is the nice cold weather and I can use my new jacket bought from Taiwan . The small hut welcoming us to the Kinabalu Pine Resort.  It is surrounded by pines tree or known to us as Christmas tree.  This is the first time in my life to see so many real pines tree. Eating at Fatt Kee Fish Mixed at Kota Kinabalu during Sabah Trip

This is the first post of our Kota Kinabalu (KK), Sabah trip. We booked a morning flight from Kuala Lumpur and reached around 1030am. Before we check into our first night's accommodation, the Pine Resort, we went to our first food in Kota Kinabalu. It is the famous fish noodle in Kota Kinabalu (KK), Fatt Kee. Fatt Kee is a small stall in a seafood restaurant called Jin Jin seafood restaurant.  They sell mixed fish noodle, fish head mee hoon, and tom yam noodle.  You can order just the fish, fish head or mixed.  There are also other fish parts and seafood such as squids and prawns. BBQ Thai: Thai Street Food at Old Klang Road

BBQ Thai is a Thai restaurant selling almost every kinds of Thailand's food known to me.  They also serve BBQ food such as BBQ crab and BBQ pig neck.  Situated at the Old Klang Road, this Thai's restaurant has a very big open space and a few air-conditioned few rooms.  In order to use the room, you will need to make early reservation and spend a minimum amount.
