Yik Kee Restaurant 益記酒家 at Karak, Pahang

Image
On the way to Bukit Gambang Resort , we dropped by at Yik Kee Restaurant at Karak to have our lunch. Yik Kee Restaurant is an old Chinese Restaurant selling Chinese dishes and dim sum. It is a good idea to eat here first before driving to Gambang as there are not many food choices there. Yik Kee Restaurant actually have a branch at Petaling Jaya with the name Sri Karak Restaurant which we always visit for its delicious durian bomb. My favourite siu mai (pork dumpling) and Chinese tea. Not a common item for dim sum, the durian bomb is a must have if you visited Yik Kee Restaurant or the Sri Karak Restaurant at PJ. Our spread of dim sum. All also nice. An old durian poster in the Yik Kee Restaurant. Some old items at the counter. There are a few branches of Yik Kee Restaurant as you can see in the photos here. The menu of the Yik Kee Restaurant. I have tried the egg tart and durian cake at Sri Karak Restaurant which are also delicious. The exterior of the Yik Kee Restaurant. Easily spott...

Shokudo Japanese Curry Rice at Taman Paramount, Seapark, Petaling Jaya is a newly opened restaurant. It is located on the same row as Awesome Canteen  and Loong Foong Restaurant with the nice roast duck.  We noticed this Japanese restaurant when we went to eat our dinner at Hometown Clay Pot Chicken Rice. Since it is my birthday, so we came here to celebrate. Shokudo Japanese Curry Rice sells rice and udon dishes with Japanese curry only. All dishes come with curry, so if you are a curry lover, do come and try their Japanese curry. There are no sushi or other Japanese main dish available. For the curry rice, there are pork, chicken, prawn (ebi), cream croquette and vegetables to choose from. You can order ala carte or set by adding RM 3 for soup, ocha (Japanese green tea) and salad. Cream Croquette Curry Rice. RM 15 for ala carte, add RM 3 for set. In my opinion the delicious soup was too little. The curry is thick and flavourful and the Cream Croquette is tasty. My Hire...
