Kedai Kopi New Cathay (新國泰茶室) at Penang
Our Penang trip starts with eating Penang's local food at Kedai Kopi New Cathay (新國泰茶室) . Once we reached Penang, dropped our luggages and took bath at our homestay Havara Place ), we walked to Kedai Kopi New Cathay for local food. This hawker food restaurant is introduced by our homestay owner since it is his favourite place for delicious local Penang food and also within walking distance from our bungalow homestay. Penang Hawker Food - Char Kuey Teow Come to Penang must eat Penang Char Kuey Teow , right? The Char Kuey Teow here at Kedai Kopi New Cathay has big fresh prawns as shown in the photo above. One of the best Char Kuey Teow I ever ate, but I have not eaten other Char Kuey Teow here in Penang. Most of my dates with Char Kuey Teow were in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur stalls only.
