Restoran Lan Je Steamed Fish (兰姐清蒸非洲鱼) at Kota Damansara

Image
Restoran Lan Je Steamed Fish (兰姐清蒸非洲鱼) at Kota Damansara is a Chinese restaurant serving Chinese dishes such as steamed fish, stirred fried yao mak, deep fried salted chicken, salted egg prawn, just to name a few. However, their main dish is the Steamed Tilapia fish which never fail our expectation. The fish is always fresh and the meat is springy every time we came here for dinner (apply to Kota Damansara branch only as we not sure about other branch). The steamed mouth watering spicy Tilapia fish. Customer can choose the spiciness by not spicy, mild spicy, very spicy or super Spicy. We normally order the super spicy as it has enough kick. For those who normally eat spicy food, the super spicy is recommended. Look at all the chilies. The hot sauce from the steamed fish goes well with the white rice and the chilies flavour can be tasted in the fish meat as well. The Tilapia fish with a spoon for you to compare the size. This is medium size. The size is not guaranteed as it is depending...

Café 9, a Taste of Thai at Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya

Café 9 is a new Thai restaurant opened for not more than 1 year in Seksyen 17. We have eaten here a few times but never had the chance to blog about it. So this time I'm going to post some photos from our lunch visits to the Cafe 9 for their lunch set. The name Café 9 doesn't sounds like a Thai shop but I do see many restaurants with numbers as their shop name at Phuket such as Number 6, Number 9 etc. This is my lunch set, Special Fried Rice with beef. Actually it is with lala but since lala is out of stock so the boss asked me to choose between chicken or beef. The fried rice is fragrant but I believe it will be nicer with lala. Will come again next time with the hope of lala will be in stock. Laupoh ordered Special Chicken Rice with Sweet Melon and Tom Yum Soup. Tom yum soup has not enough kick for her. I tried and agreed. Friend ordered this Massaman curry. First time heard about this Thai curry, since normally Thai restaurant serve green curry. Lunch set comes with drink s...

Restaurant Shabu Shabu 强强滚 (Buffet) at Bandar Puteri, Puchong

Restaurant Shabu Shabu 强强滚 is a eat all you can type of shabu shabu restaurant at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Shabu Shabu is actually a Japanese dish whereby sliced beef are cooked in a pot of boiling soup on the dining table, just like Chinese's hot pot / steamboat. Chinese steamboat restaurant normally give only one big pot but most Shabu Shabu restaurant are using personal pot. I personally prefer a personal pot as I can cook up my own soup and it is more hygiene. The lobby of the Restaurant Shabu Shabu with many chairs for waiting customers. We arrived here quite early so there were not many customers yet. The inside of the restaurant, which you can see pot heater for each chair. Another view of the spacious Restaurant Shabu Shabu. Pork slices are served by a staff walking around while other food are served via the conveyor belt. Pork slices are fresh and cook within 10 seconds in the boiling water. My pot cooking vegetables soup. Abalone slice, mushroom and some vegetables ready t...
