Review of Project: C, a pop-up cafe by myBurgerLab at Sea Park, Taman Paramount

Image
myBurgerLab, Sea Park presents Project: C, a pop-up cafe selling coffee and brownies.  Located just above myBurgerLab itself, we noticed this place when we went to eat myBurgerLab the other day.  Shot some photos to share while waiting for our delicious burgers. Project: C, a pop-up cafe by myBurgerLab This cafe serves coffee and delicious creative brownie Order your coffee and brownies here There are banana, green tea, strawberry, oreomint brownies and many more.  You can also take away the brownies in a nice container. For now, you can pay what you can afford for Project: C's coffee and brownies.  Very interesting concept. The menu of Project: C's first phase. The oreomint brownies.  It is crunchy and a bit on the hard side compared to the normal soft brownies that we eat in a cake shop. Green tea brownies, became my favourite on the first bite. More brownies on display.  This one is strawberry brownies if not mistaken. The decora...

The Red Olive Restaurant review at SS2 Mall, Petaling Jaya

Image
The Red Olive Restaurant  is a shop serving nice Western & Asian food. Opened in the SS2 Mall, Petaling Jaya, we decided to give it a try. SS2 Mall until today is still unpopular and many shops are still not occupied but the good thing is, there are a lot of empty parking spaces. Let's start with the food!  All photos taken with Nikon D7000 with 16-85mm lens. The Red Olive Restaurant's Nyonya Style Chicken Kapitan Curry A rich nyonya style chicken curry served with fragrant steamed rice, cucumber pickles, deep fried potato cutlet with prawn crackers. Served with nice food presentation.  It is as nice as it looks. Close-up on the chicken curry.  The curry is not too spicy and the chicken is nice and flavourful. Spaghetti Aglio Olio.  Pasta sauteed with healthy olive oil, minced garlic and toasted with dried red chilli flakes and parsley.  Comes with slices of chicken breast. Spaghetti is soft enough and blended well with the sauce.  Add some black p...

Invicta Men's Watch Review for 13047 Jason Taylor Chronograph Silver Textured Dial Two-Tone Stainless Steel

Image
Here is a review of my new watch, the Invicta Men's 13047 Jason Taylor Chronograph Silver Textured Dial Two-Tone Stainless Steel Watch .  This is a Limited Edition watch by Invicta  and Jason Taylor .  Please note this watch may be too big (Case Diameter 48mm and Case Thickness 16mm) and heavy (3 Pounds).  It does worth the size and weight as it feels very solid and looks very nice and sharp. Since I'm not a watch guy, lets learn something here. First, this Invicta watch has Swiss quartz movement. A quartz clock is a clock that uses an electronic oscillator that is regulated by a quartz crystal to keep time. This crystal oscillator creates a signal with very precise frequency, so that quartz clocks are at least an order of magnitude more accurate than mechanical clocks. - Read more at the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartz_clock Second, this watch has Flame-fusion crystal.  Hmm, according to the sales guy, this watch uses sapphire glass. ...

Thean Chun Coffee Shop (天津茶室) at Ipoh, Perak

Image
Went to Ipoh to attend a wedding dinner, we decided to finally try the famous Thean Chun coffee shop.  It is an old style Chinese restaurant in a row of old shop houses in Ipoh.  This coffee shop has very nice “Kai See Hor Fun” aka Chicken Kuey Teow Soup, caramel custard, chee cheong fun and satay.  Since there are only two of us, we only ordered Chicken Kuey Teow Soup and caramel custard. “Kai See Hor Fun” aka Chicken Kuey Teow Soup.  The best I have eaten so far.  It has a kind of sweet smell that I have not found in other places selling “Kai See Hor Fun”.  The taste is well balanced between the chicken slices, the freshness of the prawn and the herbs making it so flavorful. After you have tasted some, try to eat with chilies to further enhance the taste.  The chilies are fresh and spicy. The caramel custard.  Smooth, not too sweet and melt in the mouth.  One of the must try food in Ipoh according to friends. In front of Thean Chun cof...

Awesome Canteen at Taman Paramount, Sea Park, Petaling Jaya

Image
Feeling awesome today, we decided to try this new place at Taman Paramount, Sea Park called Awesome Canteen . This place is started by a group of awesome people from a design agency in Kuala Lumpur.  The furniture inside here are mostly recycled materials and there are a lot of old and classic stuff. We decided to try their awesome gourmet burgers which are made from freshly ground meat and served with market fresh vegetables and poppy seed bun.  I ordered a Paleo Beef Burger (grilled portobello mushroom with melted Swiss cheese and guacamole salsa) and laupoh ordered a Sambal Chicken Burger (with lettuce, tomato served with home-made sambal sauce, deep fried ikan bilis (anchovy) with poppy seed bun).  Both burger are awesomely good. Let's start with the photos of burgers! Paleo Beef Burger. There is no bun for this burger. The bun is made from grilled portobello mushroom. Awesome as it is juicy inside and juicy outside! A view from the top of Paleo Beef Burger Paleo...
