The Red Olive Restaurant review at SS2 Mall, Petaling Jaya

The Red Olive Restaurant is a shop serving nice Western & Asian food. Opened in the SS2 Mall, Petaling Jaya, we decided to give it a try. SS2 Mall until today is still unpopular and many shops are still not occupied but the good thing is, there are a lot of empty parking spaces.

Let's start with the food!  All photos taken with Nikon D7000 with 16-85mm lens.


The Red Olive Restaurant's Nyonya Style Chicken Kapitan Curry


A rich nyonya style chicken curry served with fragrant steamed rice, cucumber pickles, deep fried potato cutlet with prawn crackers.

Served with nice food presentation.  It is as nice as it looks.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio.  Pasta sauteed with healthy olive oil, minced garlic and toasted with dried red chilli flakes and parsley.  Comes with slices of chicken breast.

Spaghetti is soft enough and blended well with the sauce.  Add some black pepper to enhance the taste.

Olive Herb Rice with Stir-Fried Chicken.  Fragrant rice infused with olives and fresh herbs.  Served with delicious oriental stir-fried chicken

The food that we ordered is nice and the waiter explained quite well about their food.  Definitely will visit the Red Olive restaurant again soon to try their other food.

Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya is an eco tourism resort at Raub, Pahang.  You are reading a personal blog review of this awesome tropical nature resort in Malaysia.  It is around 1 hour drive from Petaling Jaya to Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya and you will pass by the Bentong town to reach the nature resort at Raub.  Let's our journey of love back to nature begins from the car park of Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya. Restoran Lan Je Steamed Fish (兰姐清蒸非洲鱼) at Kota Damansara is a Chinese restaurant serving Chinese dishes such as steamed fish, stirred fried yao mak, deep fried salted chicken, salted egg prawn, just to name a few. However, their main dish is the Steamed Tilapia fish which never fail our expectation. The fish is always fresh and the meat is springy every time we came here for dinner (apply to Kota Damansara branch only as we not sure about other branch). The steamed mouth watering spicy Tilapia fish. Customer can choose the spiciness by not spicy, mild spicy, very spicy or super Spicy. We normally order the super spicy as it has enough kick. For those who normally eat spicy food, the super spicy is recommended. Look at all the chilies. The hot sauce from the steamed fish goes well with the white rice and the chilies flavour can be tasted in the fish meat as well. The Tilapia fish with a spoon for you to compare the size.
