Bukit Gambang Resort City and Safari Park Weekend Getaway

After our breakfast at Yik Kee Restaurant, we drove to Bukit Gambang Resort. Bukit Gambang Resort is a nice place for a weekend retreat and not toofar from KL or PJ. There are water park and safari park here suitablefor family outing as well as activities such as paintball, jungletrekking, ATV, horse riding, flying fox and sky trail. There are alsoteam activities at Bukit Gambang Resort such as Ice-breakerEnergizer,  Management Field Games and Obstacles Challengessuitable for company trip. For this round, we were here for the SafariPark as brother in law has free tickets. We booked a Family Suite at CaribbeanBay Resort and spent a night there.


Arrived at CaribbeanBay Resort. On the way to our Family Suite at one of the blocks.There are many blocks here connected by bridge such as the one in this photo.


A view of the CaribbeanBay Resort's swimming pool. We didn't get to swim in the poolthough as there were not enough time. We quickly drop our bags and prepare to go to the Safari Park.


The living room of the Family Suit at CaribbeanBay Resort. Comes with TV but only free channels available. Woodenchairs are comfortable to sit while chit chat with family or friendsafter a day at the Water Park or Safari Park.


Water boiler and mini fridge available. No stove for cooking though.Bring your own electronic stove if wish to cook here.


Table, mirror and door-less cupboard in the room.


Clean bed sheet and pillows for you to sleep on. The mattress iscomfortable enough.


Hot shower is available too but our room does not have body shampoo.So bring your own soap or shampoo just in case.


Clean toilet and water sink. Toilet paper and fresh towels are provided.


Laupoh is ready at the lobby to go to Safari Park.


Is this a lorry or is this a tram? Anyway it is leopard skinned! Hop in and it will bring you to the Gambang Water Park and Gambang Safari Park.


On our way to Bukit Gambang Safari Park. The ride took only around 5 minutes.


The ticket counter for the Safari Park. No people queuing. I guess mostly bought their ticket online.


The entrance to the Safari Park is this big wooden traditional house.


Please note the time for the shows and activities so that you won't miss them. We only manage to watch the African Yabara Fire Show and the Tarzan Adventure. The ticket price covers all the shows here.


From the Safari Park we can see the Bukit Gambang Water Park. Don't really feel like to go into the pool with so many people.


There is this restaurant in the Safari Park, where you can eat and watch the white lions watching you eating.


Trying to shoot the white lion but it keep hiding far up.

Spotted this tiny goat with big horns.


This is the world's smallest kangaroo. Can you see how small is it?


Next, we walked pass the arachnids, insects and bugs area. This is a kind of tarantula spider. Not so active, maybe the weather is too hot.


Big and fat scorpions. I'm pretty sure I do not want to meet those guys outside of the glass box.


Overview of the Gambang Safari Park from the top level. The area is pretty big and there are just not enough animals here to make it more lively.


The birds here are flying around so the roof is covered to prevent them from flying away.


The fish tanks area. Big tanks small fish. Hope to see more fish in the future.


Can you spot the snake in disguise?


For each fauna here, they are described in a poster like this one. Good for educating yourself or children about the nature.


I think the yellow snake spotted me.


Monster lizard. Not really sure what is his real name. Remind me of Jurassic Park though.


This chameleon is shy and don't want to be photographed. In this room, the harmless reptiles are actually not in any cage or box. So watch you steps when you are inside here.


Big iguana. Do you dare to touch him?


This is the stage where everyone is watching the bird show. Not really interested with bird show.


The big hairy black bear. Waited for him to move around but only manage to get his nose.


There are many kinds of bird here such as those colorful birds.


And this red bird. Not really into birds so I'm not sure what are their names.

One of the closed room for you to get close with the birds.


Spotted this spiky hair bird. You can also buy some bird snacks here to feed the birds.


Not really sure the building is built this way or they don't have enough budget to complete the building?


You can ride on this camel around the park for RM 10, but we didn't try.


Next, we took this tram again to ride into the wild.


Tired looking leopard, perhaps it is the weather, perhaps it is just taking nap.


Wild deer, sitting around and not really interested with us.


A few cows taking bath in the mud water on this hot day. Maybe they are shy as none of them is facing us.


Maybe this llama is new here. He keep chasing our tram.


After a day at the Safari Park, we went back to Caribbean Bay Resort. The menu at Caribbean Bay Resort does not looks so appetizing so we walked to Arabian Coffee House at Arabian Bay Resort for dinner.


I ordered this nasi goreng mamak.


And laupoh ordered this curry noodle.


After dinner, we went back the the Safari Park for the night activities and nocturnal animals. They have this souvenir shop here for you to buy something back as memories.


The African Yabara Fire Show. Got fire eating and fire throwing into the sky.


The stage for the Tarzan Adventure. You can watch a bit of the show here on my You Tube. Quite interesting live show as they use fireworks for the rifle and bombs.

After the show we went to this park of nocturnal animals such as this cute tapir. Others animals are too dark for any photo.


There is this mini theme park here at Caribbean Bay Resort which you can spend the rest of the night.


Not sure what is name of this ride. A mini one compared to the one at Genting Theme Park. Only for kids.


In the next morning, we had our breakfast at the Caribbean Coffee House. Like other hotel breakfast, you can make your own sandwich or roti bakar.


Waffles are also available here, cut into small pieces so that you can eat more variety of breakfast.


How about some local pancake called lempeng? Taste nice with the curry chicken.


Make your own hot and steamy noodle soup here with fresh vegetables and fish balls.


My simple breakfast, lempeng with curry, hot dog and croissant.
